DKV Selection is an affordable private health insurance that fully meets Spanish immigration requirements (Real Decreto 557/2011)

To obtain a Spanish visa or residency, your private insurance must match the coverage of the Spanish public healthcare system (SNS). DKV Selection is engineered specifically to tick every legal box without forcing you to pay for unnecessary premium extras.

    Consultations with general practitioner, pediatrics and nurse service.
  • Medical hospitalization and ICU
    Max. 3 days, only for life-threatening emergencies or accident.
  • Specialities
    allergy, gastroenterology, cardiology, general surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, geriatrics, gynaecology, phoniatrics and speech therapy, internal medicine, nephrology, pulmonology,
    neurology, odontostomatology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry (max.10 sessions
    a year), psychology (max. 10 sessions year), psychiatry, rheumatology, obstetrics, traumatology and urology.
  • Surgical hospitalization
    Unlimited number of days, planned or urgent cases.
  • Specialized surgery
    Angiology, audiosurgery, cardiac surgery, maxillofacial surgery, reconstruction plastic surgery, lung surgery and neurosurgery.
  • Births & neonatology*
    Including epidural anesthesia.
    *Coverage for pregnancy care and delivery has 10 months of waiting period.
  • Diagnostics
    Сlinical analysis, anatomical pathology, cytology and colposcopy, densitometry, ultrasound, echocardiography, electroencephalograms, electromyograms, ergometers, x-rays and mammograms. Arteriograms, liver and bone marrow biopsies, bronchoscopies and bronchographs, catheterization, endoscopy, phlebography, Holter, nuclear medicine, oxygen therapy, rehabilitation (except chronic diseases), CAT scan, valvuloplasties and angioplasties, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and lithotripsy.
  • Emergency care in Spain and abroad
    Ambulances included, for transfers to network-affiliated hospitals.
  • Basic dental coverage
    To keep your tooth in a good condition.

Exclusions


Pre-existing illnesses. Work-related accidents, occupational accidents or traffic accidents. Sterility treatment. Cosmetic treatment. Dialysis. Sleep disorders treatment. Positron emission tomography (PET). Oncology treatment. Transplants. Prosthesis and osteosynthesis material. Family planning and contraception. (IUD placement is covered. The IUD is paid for by the policy holder). Any expenditure for non-network affiliated doctors.

  • Place of residence in Spain
    The policy can be issued for individuals residing in most regions of Spain: A Coruña, Alicante, Murcia, Badajoz, Cáceres, Castellón, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Huesca, Jerez de la Frontera, Las Palmas, León, Lugo, Madrid, Guadalajara, Málaga, Oviedo, Palma de Mallorca, Sevilla, Tenerife, Valencia, Vigo, Zaragoza.
  • Policy start date
    The policy start date can be set only the first day of the current month.
  • Processing time
    The average processing time for the policy is approximately 7 business days. If you have a health declaration, the processing time will take more time.
Please note: a health evaluation process applies to every application. You do not pay until the evaluation is complete and you have accepted it.

Application
Application form preparation&submit. If there is health declaration the process will take more time than usual.
Sign and payment
Once the application is processed by the insurance company, we proceed with contract signature and payment(depends on the chosen conditions of payment).
